Ingredients

For the Plain Cookies
  • 85g Stork block
  • 85g caster sugar
  • 85g soft brown sugar
  • 1 egg, medium
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 175g self-raising flour, sieved together with
  • ½ teaspoon bicarbonate of soda and pinch salt
Variations
  • Chocolate chip: 85g chocolate chips
  • Double Chocolate chip: Replace 25g SR flour with 25g cocoa powder and add 85g chocolate chips
  • White Chocolate & raspberry: add 55g white chocolate chips and 100g raspberries

      1. Place all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and beat together with a wooden spoon until well mixed.
      2. Place teaspoon sized balls of the mixture onto baking sheets, previously brushed with melted Stork to ensure they don't stick. Ensure you space them well apart, as they will spread as they cook. There is no need to press the balls down, and you should get 30 little balls out of the mix.
      3. Bake on the middle shelf of a preheated hot oven 190° C, 180°C fan, Gas mark 5 for 8 - 10 minutes. Cool on a wire tray.
