It’s been the most glorious summer (who thought we’d write those words at the start of the year?), but suddenly September is just around the corner, and you know what that means? Yes, the kids will be back at nursery or school, your house will no longer be a mess and you’ll have some time to yourselves again - whoopee!
Oh sorry, apart from that… what we meant to say was that the dreaded school lunches have to be planned once more. It’s so difficult not to default to the same meals every day, particularly if you’re busy and the kids have their firm favourites, but we think we’ve hit on a real crowd-pleasing lunch box solution (even if we say so ourselves!).
This delicious recipe for Crunchies ticks all the right boxes for fussy little eaters – yes please to chocolate and golden syrup – but the inclusion of breakfast oats means that kids will also benefit from slow release energy through the day too.
With 24 squares in the recipe, Crunchies are also a great option for on-the-go breakfasts, after-school snacks, or popped in your bag for an energy boost later in the day. Love ‘em!
