Ingredients

Filling ingredients
  • 6 apples
  • 1/2 lemon juice
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Crumble ingredients
  • 175 g plain flour
  • 85 g caster sugar
  • 85 grams Stork
Baking tin
  • shallow baking dish about 1L capacity (greased)

      Instructions

      1. Preheat the oven to 200°C, 180 °C fan oven, Gas mark 6.
      2. Peel the apples, remove the cores and cut the apples into pieces and place in a pan. Squeeze over the lemon juice and stir in the sugar with the apple.
      3. Cook the apples for 5 minutes over a moderate heat, stirring regularly. Add the cinnamon. Cool slightly while you make the crumble.
      4. Place the flour, sugar, and Stork in a large bowl and mix with a fork to a crumble.
      5. Spoon the apple mixture into an ovenproof dish. Sprinkle the crumble on top.
      6. Bake the apple crumble in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Serve.
