  • 400g (14 oz) plain flour
  • 115g (4 oz) caster sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 115g (4 oz) Stork packet, melted
  • 1 egg, medium
  • 200ml (8 fl oz) semi skimmed milk
  • 125g dates, chopped


      1. Mix together dry ingredients and add dates.
      2. Combine Stork, egg and milk and stir lightly into dry mix.
      3. Spoon into greased muffin tins and bake in preheated oven 200°C, 180°C fan, Gas mark 6 for 20 minutes.
